I love the classic lines and looks of a Jaguar XJ. It’s one of those cars that even when you see it at a distance you know that it’s a Jaguar. Jaguar has been known for producing world-class sporting saloons that are luxurious, fast, and fun to drive. But what happens when you cross a luxurious sport saloon and a hotrodder? You get this 1,000 horsepower XJ6 powered by a Dart 540 cubic-inch (8.8-liter) V8.
The 1,000 horsepower 540 cubic-inch V8 has an additional 300 horsepower just waiting to be unleased thanks to a 300-horsepower nitrous oxide setup. All of that power is sent to a 200-4R four-speed automatic transmission that delivers it to a Ford 9-Inch rear axle mounted in a Chevy Camaro rear suspension with adjustable coilover shocks. The front suspension is from a Chevy Camaro as well. All of that allows this remarkable Jaguar to run down the 1/4-mile in 9.85 seconds at 140 mph (225 kph). That’s definitely supercar performance.
The exterior of the car was kept nice and clean, and the front bumper was removed. The hood was cut to make way for the huge bulge that was needed to cover that big block V8.
On the inside, the car stayed true to its Jaguar roots and has a custom leather interior with Jaguar XJ12 leather seats, a custom dash, Billet Specialties steering wheel, and digital gauges, but also has racing harnesses and a full roll cage.
